Zion Williamson has been playing like a top player in the NBA in his third season, and Wednesday night was no exception. Williamson erupted for 43 points, 33 of which came in the second half to carry the Ingram-less Pelicans to a 119-118 victory. Williamson made Pelicans history for being the second player to put up 33 in one half. Zion also scored 14 points in a row for New Orleans, including a steal leading to a fastbreak dunk that truly shifted the momentum, tying the game near the end.

Minnesota's top scorers of the night were Anthony Edwards and D'Angelo Russell, who each put up 27 points. This team has had a very underwhelming start since trading for Rudy Gobert this past offseason, currently sitting at 16-19. In the middle of a four-game losing streak, the Minnesota front office is surely questioning if it was worth getting rid of so many pieces for another star.
